Mother doesn't want to stay in the quarter since my 9 year old nephew will be with us. So I was thinking warehouse district since we'll be close to restaurants, Dome, Aquarium ect. It's not til fall so I have time for all your suggestions :)

Joey had reservations at the New Orleans something hotel, 900 block of Convention Center Blvd., back is across Fulton from Paragon garage doors. I'll try to find out the exact name this weekend. She had a rate of around $140 for Jazz Fest, which I thought was pretty reasonable.

That is reasonable, ask her if she liked it for me. Oh wait, nevermind, I have her email....

Someone else mentioned the hotel that La Cote Brasserie is in...anyone have an opinion about that one?

You might want to check trip advisor for recent reviews.

It's OK. I've very good experiences at the Embassy Suites (which is a Hilton property) by Rio Mar.
