I want to throw a fund raiser

for Captain Humble. He got screwed out of the last chunk of insurance money he was supposed to get to fix his home. Then recently he was told to move his trailer or face $1000 per day fine so he used up his restaurant "cushion" money to fix his house. Now after nine years he has to close his poboy shop. I possibly have access to some tv and radio advertising, I can get flyers printed cheap. I need donations of food or items to be sold at a silent auction. Can anyone help me? If you can please call me at 504 908 2969. There is nothing he wants more than to open his shop but his landlord kicked him out so he will have to change locations.

Mrs. Fury, this sure is a good cause. Cap is an institution, a local legend. How much more New Awlins can someone be. He was a damned good broadcaster/radio personality, one of the best our area has ever known. He is right up there with Hap, Buddy D, Wayne Mack (Great McNutt), Frank Davis, Nash Roberts, Morgus (Sid Noel), etc.

I was thinking of having it in Slidell, since that is where most of Cap's business is and I may have a restaurant available. If not I have had an offer from one of our wonderful forum friends not far from where I work.
