How do you tip at a Sushi bar?

Post by Schuarta »

How do you tip at a Sushi bar? Do you know if the girl who brings you your tea and clears the empty plates, shares the tip you put on your credit card with the chef behind the bar who made you Sushi all night? Or do you tip the Sushi chef directly?
As John Wayne once said: "Life's tough. It's even tougher if you're stupid."

With money!

OK, I'm hilarious. I have no idea. I always just put the 20% on top of the check and left it at that.

Good question.

We usually tip about 20% on the bill and put $5 in the jar at our regular sushi place. If we didn't sit at the bar, I suppose just the 20%.

I usually sit at the sushi bar. Half in cash to the tip jar and half to the server.
