There aren't many in an individual order..but I can never finish mine. They're REALLY good onion rings though.BTG wrote:I love those rings.
I was a little disapointed though with the order I received a few weeks ago with my po-boy. I could've sworn it was only four or five little rings.

I really like the ones at Rivershack...but they are about 8 bucks or so....I almost didn't order them because of the price.....but I have to say they were worth it!!!

I pretty much will pay any amount for onion rings that I know are awesome...because they are so hard to find.

Re: Pricey Onion rings
I've always wondered why onion rings are so expensive.
Onions are cheap but some places charge as much for them as they do for an order of shrimp or oysters.
Why is that?

Re: Pricey Onion rings
Because they can. And you have to have a few higher markup items (um, beer/liquor?) to make up for those that aren't.flyinbayou wrote: Why is that?

Forget Pricy Onion rings...
How about FREE ONION RINGS!!!!! At Liuzza's!
Here is the catch: You buy two entrees, and you get FREE O RINGS!
Here is the tough part: There was a ad in the Friday Times Pic in the Living Section. A regular little blurb titled "Advertising Gems by Pearl", usually on the inside page 2. You cut the ad, and bring it in.
I could not find it on NOLA.com...

Re: Pricey Onion rings
We stopped at the Times Bar and Grill in Mandeville today. Split a great order of onion rings..... $5.95 Big and fat. Golden brown. (this thread has had me craving rings all week!)
Also split an $8.95 roast beef po-boy. Overpriced for the little amount of meat on it...... but good and garlicky! Our cute little waiter "warned us" that the gravy was full of garlic....some broad last night sent hers back because it was "TOO GARLICKY". I've never heard of such a condition!
