Once again, I have been forbidden! Tis not the first, nor hopefully the last...
I was just trying to figure out what significance "brown edges" has to do with oyster consumption/freshness indication, etc. You lost me on that one. Thought perhaps there was an old folklore saying like "When oyster edges are brown, Jerry buys the next round!" or something along that line.
Oh, and if Jerry buys next round...count me in!

Oyster House on LA 18 in Westwego next to shrimp lot yesterday, $21 for 1/4 sack fresh shucked unwashed fantastic oysters, can't wait til lunch time today to finish off the rest. Nice plump oysters, good & salty. Best I have had in a while. I went to restroom & oysters were ready shortly after that. Less than 5 minutes. $8 a dozen if you choose to sit down & eat. Nothing fancy at this joint, just an oyster lovers dream come true.

Jerry, Ofoto/kodak is not a web sharing site for picture posting on a forum. You have to upload the photo to either photobucket, picasa, shutterfly, snapfish, that does have url address for posting a picture on a forum. One of the easiest is photobucket.Jerry wrote:http://images.kodakgallery.com/photos50 ... _0_ALB.jpg
These are some from that sack....note the brown edges.
