Wine Tasting help
I am hosting a wine tasting for about 12 people. I "won" it at an auction. The person putting it on is providing the wine and all the info etc... it will be sort of a cocktail party setting. I need to have enough glasses to change every so often. I also want to do heavy app/noshy food. I a...

Emeril's Delmonico for dinner
Had dinner there last night for my son's 20th birthday and my dad's 85th. The food was delicious from start to finish. The service was a tad stuffy. The GM at the door was a bit of a pompous ass! The special salad was blood oranges and olives-yum. Had the fried soft shell crab. It was a little too c...

Re: Sukho Thai Uptown
Isn't La Thai more of a fusion Thai place? I thought it wasn't designed to be straight traditional Thai. I have been multiple times and enjoyed, but felt like I knew I wasn't getting a true traditional Thai food. Just my two cents.

Re: Does anyone else want this week to end?
I have been so happy, proud and excited I can hardly stand it. I can't wait for Sunday to be here, but at the same time I am enjoying the build up. This is going to transition right into the SB parade Tuesday then into Mardi Gras weekend. Wowee this is quite a fun ride!!

Re: Dinner near Loew's Hotel
Thanks for the recommendations. We will certainly do Cafe Adelaide. I may be going down early w/ some girl friends to Cafe Adelaide for lunch, I have been there before and do like it very much. Seems like we'll be deciding between A Mano, Rio Mar and 7 on Fulton for dinner. Now if we could just get ...

Re: Galatoire's reportedly to change hands
I think Georges was a nerdy kid who probably got beat up and/or had his glasses broken when he was young. Now he has and has married money, so he's going show everybody what he can do now! Basically he buys what he wants and the people he wants. I am not interested in him buying the office of mayor!...
