Woke up this morning to a nice cool air in the house....and imediately went to the pantry for some black eyed peas. Let the soak while I worked out then got them started just a little while ago. Oh yeah, it smells good in here!

Now I'm off to the Blues Fest at Lafayette Square. What a great day!

I do not think I have had a really good plate of black eye peas since my grandmother passed away. I love black eye peas!

Hafta cook them with some smoked ham hocks and then some homemade cornbread. No packaged mix for me! And fresh rutabaga will seal the deal. Nothing better!!!
