We had lunch at Middendorf's last Saturday. The annex is being used until the original building can be replaced sometime in 2009, hopefully in time for the 75th anniversary (July 4th) of this popular seafood palace on Pass Manchac. Here are some pics Mrs. Fury, Barbara and I took, pls excuse the nature stuff, etc., there are some food and interior shots of Middendorf's included.

The food was wonderful. The kitchen is the same as ever, the menu is unchanged and so are the prices. Chef Horst and Karen are elated to be back in business and welcome old and new customers to stop in.

Life wouldn't be the same without it....

Are those anchovies I see on the salad? I don't remember that.........but never ordered a salad there. The fish looks great. We made plans to stop this week on our way to Vicksburg. Can't wait!

Yes, they were anchovies - lucky me, Mrs. Fury doesn't like them, so I got all hers and all mine too! It was great to see Middendorf's hopping again.

I wish we would've caught a picture of you, Barb! Ah, well! There's gonna be a next time! I need me some of Chef's frog legs!
