I was lost today looking for a dog groomer and noticed a place on Hickory that was packed with cars. Seither's Seafood..anyone know anything about it..it's just a few blocks from Jefferson Highway.

No idea but I'm desperate for a dog groomer, what/where did you find a good one?

Thanks. Sorry, I wasn't playing by the rules. Next time you see me, feel free to spank.

Now wouldn't that be a hoot? "Some strange guy just slapped my derriere in the middle of __________. Said I told him to online."

Seither's Seafood has good po-boys as well as boiled seafood. They also have the standard daily specials that you'd expect from a neighborhood dive. I've been there for both lunch and dinner and have not been disappointed. The most memorable sandwich was the cheeseburger po-boy. I also remember that their oysters on the half shell were excellent as was their boiled crabs. Don't know what they have currently as I haven't been lately. Crab season is coming to an end and oysters are just rebounding from Gustav and Ike. So you may have to stick with the fried stuff.
I live in the area and Seither's, Bobby's Seafood, and Village Inn are all on my rotation.

We have been there for lunch and few times and have found it to be good. I think I got fried shrimp platters both times. Some others who were with me got some of the daily specials and everyone seemed happy.
The place does seem to be very busy. Even at lunch there is always a little gathering going on in the bar.

I honestly don't know. They never seem to have any cars parked there. I have not been there since it was sold but the guy who owns The Breakfast Club. Even when he owned it I rarely went. I always found their fried seafood to be too greasy.
