Ok, our favorite place to go for fried shrimp has unfortunately closed the doors..so...where do we go? Where is everyone's favorite fried seafood place?
I prefer boiled shrimp..but Doug is in need of a fried shrimp fix.

Where did you used to go? I'm curious.
And what part of town are you in?

Er, yeah, easier to recommend if we know who, and where the place you lost was.

We live in Jefferson..off of Central.
Our favorite place was in the strip mall area near Camelia Grill and O'Henry's.
The place was Chef's Corner. The owner had a steak house next to the House of Blue's down in the Quarter for many years..but after Katrina..his business was so down that he sold out and put this restaurant in.
It was weird..we were there on a Saturday night and he was telling us how business was finally building back up..the street car drives had been recommending them. The restaurant was packed that night...we went back the following Friday and the doors are locked. I thought that maybe someone was sick..etc..then Gustav came thru...I drove back by it last Saturday and the place is empty.
It was next door to Baskin Robbins...sooooooo if anyone knows this place...or happens to run into them at a different location..please let us know.
Now...in the meantime..where do we go for good fried shrimp?

Radosta's, 249 Aris St. in Old Metry. They fry beautifully and their fried shrimp are a taste treat.

Last week someone talked about a place in Metairie, between Causeway and Vets - (Lake side, New Orleans side) that served great NO seafood... and I think she said the place was named "Bozo's". Has anyone heard of that, or can recommend it?

Bozos IMO fries THE best oysters, po-boy or on a plate. Shucked and fried to order. 21 St. Fried shrimp are just ok. Catfish is supposed to be wonderful as well but I can never get farther than the oysters.
