Appears to agree with Mac re: Gilmour on "Numb". Looks like he (and Neil Young) get several more nods on it. Surprised to see Jimmy Page on "Whole Lotta Love" so far down the list.

I would have put Mark Knoffler higher up the list though.

The first time I heard Sultans of Swing I distinctly recall thinking, "Damn! Who the hell ARE these guys????"

Second place goes to Stevie Ray Vaughn--Little Wing.

Elliot Randall's extended, pretty much all over the song, solo on Steely Dan's Reelin' in the Years. To this day, I still listen to it about once a week. It's guitar virtuosity at it's very best.

Now this is kick-ass - Eric Clapton and John Mayer on "Crossroads."

I could watch Sonny Landreth play the guitar for days....even Clapton said he was amazing. Though Clapton in concert was pretty cool.

One of my favorites that didn't make the list at all: Lindsey Buckingham, Big Love. -Maybe it's not worthy, but I like it.
