You can't fight City Hall.

With all the Orleans Parish budget talks going on, I came to the realization that I have been paying 2X my fee for City Sanitation since I bought my current house in May of 2006. Apparently at one time in history the house was a double and therefore I am charged 2X. Since I have owned the house it's been a single.
As we are all aware I am sure, no one at City Hall answers phones. I work 50+ hours a week and don't have time to get the run around on Perdido Street during whatever they choose business hours to be these days.
I called S&WB since that is where my bill comes from. They said call Sanitation who doesn't answer. Do I just need to sick Bam Bam's firm on them or is there a better way to deal with this? I'd rather go with honey and not vinegar but I'm afraid all I'm going to get is sticky.
