It's that time of year again when we can actually sit outside without melting. Which restaurants uptown and in the Garden District still have outdoor dining?

Martinique Bistro
Meson 923 has that nice balcony, maybe they will be seating outside as well.
Surry's has that side opening at the uptown location
I always see people outside at Baru, but I have never been there.

Mat and Naddies has outside dining on the back porch with fans. It is actually fairly comfortable over looking the levee and tracks.

It was insanely gorgeous today. I sat at work, gazing out the window.

I was thinking along the same lines on Friday night. I didn't care where, but it had to be outside. So I got out my trusty little Zagats and voila, there is a list of places with outdoor dining. In the garden district/uptown:
Baru Bistro
Basil Leaf
Cafe Atchafalya
Dante's Kitchen
Dick & Jennys
Figaro's
Fresco Cafe
Flaming Torch
GB's Patio Grill
Jacques Imos
Jamila's
La Crepe Nanou (our choice on Friday - several other place we called were packed)
Le Madeline
Lilette
Lebonnon's Cafe
Maple St Cafe
Martinique
Nirvana
Saltwater Grill
Theos
( others listed in earlier posts omitted )

Cafe Granada has sidewalk tables.
Boucherie has tables on the front porch.
haven't been to Laurentino's Barcelona Tapas, but Cafe Volage had that courtyard in the back. hopefully he is using that space.
Cafe Rani has their courtyard.

We dined outside at Nonna Mia on Tuesday. My sis had a hard day at work and we wanted good ol' beer and pizza! The setting was great. Nice outdoor patio. We had the olive appetizer (huge and meaty, served with toasted french bread slices) and a portobello pizza with Italian sausage.
To top it off, the wine by the bottle was 1/2 price and the pitchers (we had Peroni) were $5!

All in all, a very nice night in picture perfect weather. To be honest, I don't get to that area too much. I need to. Santa Fe, Cafe Dega, Liuzzas. Really nice walking area. And the restaurant - at least on the patio - allowed dogs!
