for the Saints-49ers Monday Night game.

Any suggestions on where they should stay and where they should dine?

Hotel Vitale on the Embarcadero; Quince, Bi-Rite for ice cream, and the cafe upstairs at Chez Panisse....man, just thinking about this makes me want to get on a plane. We got married in SF; it's such a great place...I'm also a sucker for Cliff House; the bar has a pretty good burger and the best sunset view imaginable.

Gary Danko if you want a very special dinner.
Call now for reservations....you may already be too late.

Don't miss Dottie's True Blue Cafe for breakfast. My SO hates standing in line but we did for this place....45 minutes and worth every minute.
Google it and believe the hype.

Pork Store Cafe in Haight Ashbury is also worth a visit. ...best described to me as "Camellia Grill on acid".

I'm jealous...so much so that I'm working on being there then, too. ;)

Traffic will be murder. Leave yourself lots of time. Otherwise, enjoy.

There are a few cities that I will NOT spend my money in due to recent events. One of them is San Francisco due to the boycott of Arizona over their immigration law:

The other is Chicago due to this:

Granted, my world may continue to shrink but my principles will not.

Last time I was in SF was during the height of displeasure with the Iraq War. I stood on a busy street corner outside of AT&T Park and yelled "Is this Bush Country or what?"

It was not well received.
