oil spill and seafood.
you guys filling up the freezer with shrimp? ...when fatzo cant find oysters and fresh gulf fish will he "act like nothing happened"?
Re: oil spill and seafood.
LOL! My wife informed me we are going to the Shrimp Lot first thing tomorrow. Fill the freezer. I ate fried oyster Po-Boy for lunch yesterday, think i will do bunch of raw this evening. Probably SS Crab for lunch.
Just went on Pesacola Journal website to see what they were discussing. The projections are for Miss Saturday, Alabama Sunday, Pensacola Monday. They have pics of dozens of people lined up for clean-up jobs. Sure will be alot easier to clean a beach than marsh grass...
Hope the sheen is just the top two mm's thick on the surface, and not any deeper. Perhaps won't affect the oysters on the bottom, but sure beds will be closed. Right in the middle of the oyster spawn season too! Black Bay and surrounding areas sure produce a huge share of our oysters eaten locally. Hope we don't see $100 sack prices
Shrimp season inshore will be disaster east of Miss River. West of Miss River may be spared for awhile. Idiots on CNN headline webpage this a.m stated "Venice and Port Fourchon first spots to be hit by slick." Someone should edit the crap they spew...no where near Fourchon.Yet!
Not good Larry...not good at all...

8 days and very little federal response. Where's the Obama regime? Oh yeah, don't bother to ask.
Re: oil spill and seafood.
Did a nice farewell at Felix tonight. While slugging 'em down, Fox 8 was on the tube above the oyster bar with the doom and gloom. Man... I'm freakin depressed...and they just shut down area 2-8 (all east of river) at sundown...
Off to Shrimp Lot tomorrow. Will now post a rant on the Lounge board while I am well oiled!

This is a nightmare I keep hoping I'll wake up from. I want to go eat too but the situation has me losing my appetite. The long-term worst-case scenarios are horrible for the entire region. I hope something good happens...and fast!

You cannot telll me the Obama regime didn't want this to happen. 8 days with no federal response. Now he's sending SWAT teams??? to the Gulf. The next step is Nationalization of the oil industry.
