What a nice day. I wish I could help more people and I hope I have friends to help me, if i need it. Or should I say WHEN. He was so interested and had such a fun day, as do all our day trip guest stars.

Re: Who Remembers Captain Humble?
I remember Cap and Scoot on Rampart 102. I once won an album by being the Nth caller. Had to go down to WWL to pick it up, and climb the narrow stairs from the station lobby up to the studio to get my AWB LP from Scoot himself. What was the deal that got Cap & Scoot canned-- MCing a wet T-shirt contest or something like that?

Re: Who Remembers Captain Humble?
L & S, by "Scoot" do you mean Soxless Scott Segraves or Scoot Paisant? Soxless is on FaceBook and Mrs. Fury and I are in touch with him nearly every day. I don't know about Scoot Paisant. Maybe Oldies King Bob Walker can help you out with him. Bob's website is at http://www.walkerpub.com/wtklfm.html

Scott "Scoot" Paisant is the only Scoot I know of, as in "Scoot in the Morning".

Did Cap finally lose his restaurant? I wish we could have taken up a collection to keep him in business.Jeeves wrote:We do. He was our favorite ever disc jockey and we went to visit him Saturday. Our pics and story are at

Re: Who Remembers Captain Humble?
Yes he did. And recently a dog broke through his fence and attacked his two small dogs. One is in very bad shape. He has no money so for the past couple of weeks we've been stocking his freezer and pantry. A friend of his is supposed to check on him this weekend. His phone was shut off. He is no longer answering email so I guess his internet has been cut off & I have no way to see how he is doing. He was depressed and when we visited it lifted his spirits quite a bit. If anyone is interested in helping him send me a PM and I will give you his info.Dilfan wrote:Did Cap finally lose his restaurant? I wish we could have taken up a collection to keep him in business.

Mrs. F, what's the latest on Cap?
Re: Who Remembers Captain Humble?
My last post says it all. Nothing new to report. I have not heard from any of his "friends" that were supposed to be helping out.Isabella Maja wrote:Mrs. F, what's the latest on Cap?
