Need a recommendation for lunch tomorrow in Red Stick. Preferably something near the state courthouse. I am up for just about anything, from low key casual to something a little dressier. I don't have much have an appetite these days but I am going to need something for the road.

BamBam as I told you before I really like you and enjoy your many posts. I just wanted to remind you that some women that we come across in life are like the St. Charles streetcars, if you miss one, another one will always [always] come along. Lighten up my friend and a very Happy New Year to you.

For restaurants downtown, three of my cousins (two of whom are attorneys, one of whom is the exec. director of the BR Bar and who all work downtown) like the Little Village and Tsunami, both on Lafayette St. The former is Italian and the latter mainly a sushi place. I've only been to Tsunami. It's an attractive space on top of the Shaw Center with a nice view of the river. I am not a sushi guy so I can't provide a rating that would help you (I got tempura that was OK). I have also heard decent reports from others about the Capital City Grill on the ground floor of the Shaw Center and Stroube's.
A bit of history: the original Village out on Airline was one of the first really top-end European/Italian restaurants in BR and was one of places where my parents and I would go to have special occasion meals in the 1960's. The chef was none other than Chef Goffredo, who later ran the house at La Riviera in Metairie, if you've been here long enough to remember that place. I don't know if there is any connection beyond the name, but if you check it out, let us know what you think.

Certainly we're not comparing JAG to a common piece of public transportation, are we?
