LSU Game at a "Sports Bar"

So we went to a local "Sports Bar"ast night to see the LSU game.
We took an empty table at the end of a row of tables facing 5 wall mounted TV's. 3 large and two small in between.
After sitting down we notice that another game is on the one most viewable from our table and ask the manager to put the LSU game on that one...it was on other TV's not convenient to our table's line of sight.

He said okay but after the game on that TV ended...it was another college game that had a few minutes left....okay...whatever.

So we missed part of the first quarter....the begining of the 3rd. quarter because someone changed that screen to another game at half time and we missed the last half of the 4th quarter because they changed it again to a another game....I'm assuming for the benefit of gamblers present.

Is this normal for "Sports Bars"?
We won't be back to that one for LSU games that are not broadcast locally.

Unless you go to an "LSU" hangout bar...........your regular sports bar will have the games of the day etc.........yes they will show LSU (or whatever local team) but they will change during half times.....close games, ots etc.....it is not only for the "gamblers" but to keep all of the sports fans there as long as possible....:toast:

It is idiotic for a local place to switch away from an LSU game before it is over. That, while possibly making a few patrons temporarly happy, will, in the long run, hurt the business.

LSU games attract massive #'s of viewers in this area.

by #7 throw away to do list.
i was in the columbia street taproom once and there was an lsu game on. i think it was some garbage team like UTEP snd the score was a blowout. anyhow, at 10 the band started playing with a few minutes left. a patron got up, walked over to the p.a. and unplugged it. ....he got thrown out.
