KWV Roodeberg Red Blend South Africa 2003
This has perennially been a remarkably good, under-$10 red. A blend of Cab, Merlot and Shiraz from South Africa, it has plenty of red fruit, a balanced acidity, and smooth, soft tannins in a drink-now style. Currently $9 on sale at Dorignac's. Why there's 2003 still hanging around in 2009 is a puzzle, but enjoy.
