Landry's

Went to Landry's for lunch today. Okay, before we get started, I really wanted to go someplace with a view. The food was as expected, just so so, but the view is incredible.
Started off with a very good and spicy and large bloody mary. My husband had a peach margarita.

Appetizers to split was what my husband wanted. Didn't sound good to me, and tasted less than just okay.

Half shrimp/oyster poboy. Bread was not toasty enough for me. It was okay. Comes with fries and onion rings

So, back to the reason for going. When we got there it was beautiful and sunny. The sail boats were all doing their manuvers looked like a class from Southern Yacht Club, which is coming along nicely btw. Tons of jet skiers and even a few people fishing.
Within a half hour, watching the skiies turn black coming from the Causeway, winds picked up waves started crashing and a rain strom came down so quickly. Pitch black you could not even see the lake anymore. (The sailboats all made it back to harbor in the nick of time)
It was so cool sitting that close to the lake and watching it unfold before your eyes.
Half hour later it was all gone, sun came out, lake calmed down.
Really really cool day. I think going back there in the afternoon, sitting out on the deck with a cold brew and some "Can't screw it up" apps would be just awesome.
Pictures are from my phone, so quality is not perfect.
