I will return soon, after a very enjoyable round & good lunch there today. And what a value @ $30. Not to mention all the sites you can take in walking & jogging around the course.

I was suprised at the number of people that were arriving just to eat lunch.
How is the food at the clubhouse grill at Audubon? Breakfast? Lunch? Specials?

The setting is wonderful, especially outside during pleasant weather.

I've only eaten there once, and I remember it being fine. A friend had her wedding reception there and was extremely pleased.

Group: I'm going to simply say that I was taught that if I have nothing good to say then say nothing. I'm saying literally nothing.

I had a very good shrimp po-boy last week, DC had a rueben that he enjoyed.

Most of the choices on the menu are sandwiches & there are also some real nice salads. All of the plates that I saw looked nice.

They also serve breakfast but I don't have any info on that.

If you are looking for standard continental fare after a round of golf the place is fine. If you want more, then go down the street to Guy's and order a Po Boy.

I'd rather come back to my place.

In Friday TP, they mentioned that they have expanded their menu with additional salads and summer fare.

The question I have is this:

Why would anyone in the world think that a Golf Course Clubhouse would provide a great dining option. Aren't they just there to feed the golfers? Especially if it is not a Private Club? Beats me! I would think they are just there to provide a quick bite for golfers, not feed those looking for a luncheon/dining adventure.

I would go to a restaurant if I was expecting anything more than a Club Sandwich. Actually, the Shrimp Po' Boy sounded great...

Stop fishing Chef Airline, just tell me your joint, maybe I will go eat there, whatever your place is. Sounds like you have already dined at the golf course.

The Audobon Golf Club is very institutional as in you don't know the name of the person "preparing" your food. That said, I do go there for the view, and they can't mess up a BLT. Caveats for me: Buffet on Sunday ( my family loves this, not me) and they shut down at 2:30.
