Cafe What? in Harahan

Post by BTG »

I think I finally found me a new salad/sandwhich/soup place that is going to work for me. Went by this place today and was suprised at what they had to offer. The interrior is pretty fresh with a great paint job and some pretty good N.O. art on the walls.
Looks like they are offering five or six sandwhiches and salads and three or four paninni's and wraps with one soup a day.

I tried the potato soup and a side ceaser and both were excellent. The soup had skinny little strips of bacon on top with some cheese and green onion. The salad looked very fresh and the dressing was spicy and tasted like it could be house made.
They do breakfast also, but close at 2:00 PM.

Will be going back.

Where is it located? Harahan/River Ridge is in my lunch area.

Sorry, ment to post that. It is on Hickory in that same little strip as Tequiro Corona(sp).
My whole Elmwood area lunch routine is getting too lame. Seems I end up at the Cellars of River Ridge about half the time I eat out now for lunch.

Strange, I pass there regularly and didn't notice it. Is it in the spot where Joe had his Pizza Roma (oppsite end from Taqueria Corona)? I will make it there next week.

Yeah, I think that is the spot. I wouldn't have noticed it either if I hadn't read an ad or something for it a few weeks ago.
