Well... it's always a good time for pork. But now and in the next several weeks may be the best time since the prices will likely drop drastically. China and Russia have banned U.S. imports of pork due to swine flu even though no evidence suggest that the virus can be transmitted by eating properly handled pork.

Light your grills/smokers....

Come visit me at St. Philip Neri fair in Metairie on Kawanee this weekend. I man the pig booth. We cook pork loins and smoked turkey legs. If I can sneak it past the chairmen I will hang a sign that reads: "We serve swine-flu free pork!"
Hmm, maybe not.
