I checked Breaux Mart on Severn, which has been offering more Hispanic items lately.
No chile powder but lots of chili powder...

So....where does an inspired taco maker go?

the International Market on the side street across from Paretti Jag/Mazda or any of the Hispanic markets/convenience stores lining Williams Blvd.

Whole Foods also carries a variety of ground chiles, dried chiles, etc.

Winn Dixie has a wide range of McCormick spices in glass jars, including ancho and chipotle chile powders. Cost Plus/WorldMarket usually has plastic envelopes of New Mexican chile powder, as well as others.

Beware plain "chilli" powder in Indian/south Asian grocery stores: it is usually analogous to our cayenne pepper. Good, but beaucoup heat--I'm sure it has flavor aside from heat, but a little goes a long, long way.

pendereys.com has quite a variety. Penzeys.com has high quality spices at great prices.
