What looks good this year? For me, haven't ever made it to "The Joint" and I see they'll be there. Listings linked....

Bummer! I didn't see the prime rib sandwich on the list for this year. I can't remember who did it (I think it was the Rib Room) but it was awesome.

Shucks! The Prime Rib was a daily essential for me. Guess I will have to double up on my Tujague's Brisket (oops, forgot to check for them on the list.)
Noted a new vendor in the list: The Red Maple - Char grilled Oysters -$5.
Wonder if you get 4 for that price? I predict a thick plume of smoke.
Heads up on the So-Co Freezes...was advised that the floater shots will now be measured in 1 oz cup, and not a liberal freehand pour as in the past. I may just have to adjust to double floaters this year.

OMG.................No Rib Room??? I am crushed....I have been counting down the days to that wonderful sandwich. Now I have no idea what I will eat. I just looked at another version of who is playing and they list people not on the download I did yesterday on the site. Maybe they got left off the list.....fingers crossed.

It was the Royal Orleans and they're apparently not participating this year. Oh well.

My suggestions:
Chicken Livers and Pepper Jelly- Praline Connection
Bread Pudding- Desire/royal sonesta (Heidi is gone but Rudyknows the recipe)
Mrs. Wheat's Pies
Crawfish & Goat Cheese Crepes- Muriel's
Slow Roasted Duck Po-Boy- Jacques Imo's
Praline Crème Brulee- Four Power (Doyle is a good at what he does.)
Chicken Andouille Gumbo- Gumbo Shop
Gelato- La Divina (Simply the best)
There's other stuff, and new stuff, that may be good but those are my thoughts. Enjoy and please post a report afterwards.

The Rib Room is the restaurant located inside the Omni Royal Orleans.
