Tried this Argentine white based on a "if you liked the Palo Alto White, you might like this" recommendation. The label speaks of floral aromas of rose and violet, and "a dab of peach". And all that turned out to be pretty much true, along with a hint of grapefruit pith on the palate. Very light in color, almost clear. Good, medium body for such a light white. Very interesting flavors, like the Palo Alto, very delicate, with good acidity and subtly petillant-- another perfect summer wine. I admit I wasn't familiar with the varietal Torrontés, but am looking forward to trying some other producers' takes on it. Another great value at $8 (on sale @ Dorignac's, reg. $10).

Thanks LNS. I assume it is unoaked and relatively "dry." That's what my wife and I like to have in the warm evenings while the grill is going.

I'm gonna give it a try next time I make it to Dorginac's.

Dry, yes, and I would expect the wine has seen little if any time in wood. Upon further reading, Trivento appears to be CyT's Argentine operation.
