CyT Palo Alto "Reserve" White
Concha y Toro Palo Alto "Reserve" White. Apparently only Sauvignon Blanc, this Southern Hemisphere white Bordeaux differs from many of its counterparts in its propensity for subtlety, as opposed to the almost ubiquitous in-your-face, citrus-y tartness exhibited by most New Zealand, Australian, and even other Chilean Sauvignon Blancs. Again, the tasting notes refer to the citrus, mineral and floral, but my own impression is that of mostly a very delicate, pink grapefruit. And, by that, I'm saying a good thing. Many of these overtly-acidic SBs tend towards the cloying side, one or two glasses being quite enough. In this case, the "reserve", if you will, shown by the winemaker, gives a certain finesse that allows for a continued enjoyment. Currently a bargain at $8 on sale at Dorignac's.

Thanks again for this recommendation as well as the red. I tried the white yesterday and it was nice. I went ahead and purchased two more bottles of the red also. That price can't be beat.
