Looks like I'm going to Don Victor's (at or just off Williams Blvd.) tonight. Anyone know anything about it? What's good? Supposed to be "Latin cuisine".

Hey Janis!

Well, sbu22, you've probably already been there by now. What did YOU like?

I often order the fish with huancana (sp?) sauce. All the entrees come with rice and a salad, adorned with some kind of zippy dressing.

I especially like the complimentary chips with green cilantro dip they serve before dinner.

Thank you, Janis. As it turns out, we didn't make it. Out of town guests, MG stuff, etc., etc. However, DV's is on my list and I will try the fish with huancana (sp?) sauce. Maybe later in the week when things return to what passes for normal.

My husband and I went with another couple and we were all very disappointed. We went on a Tuesday night and they were out of half of the menu...including chips! We were the only people in the place and the service was terrible. My steak was overcooked. I sent it back. By the time I got it back (rare) everyone else was done eating. Also the second one I got was 1/2 the size of the original one and wasn't even the correct cut of meat...they were probably out! The biggest upset was when we got our check and saw that the silver petron shots that we did were $11 each! We'll never go back.
