Jumbo Abita Beers!

Post by Oyster »

Can't have too much of a good thing!

BIG NEW ABITAS IN BIG BOTTLES: Abita Brewing Company has two new beers in new 22-ounce bottles. Andygator is a Helles Dopplebock made with pale malt, German lager yeast and German Perle hops. Abita Abbey Ale is a new Abita brew that honors the ancient tradition of monks who brewed beer, and 25 cents of every bottle sold supports St. Joseph's Abbey in Covington. Abbey is a Dubble or double ale, dark amber in color.

Wow! 22 oz! That's 83% larger than 12 oz!
But dear...I only had 6 beers...

Did we oficially lose Turbodog?

I don't think I'm talking out of school here but my "sources" tell me that Abita is working on a Satsuma flavored beer. (think Hoegaarden w/ an orange slice in it.....YUM!)

We have not lost Turbodog, the beer, or the poster. Hello all. Yes, the big beers in big bottles have debuted. We will be adding to that lione. I was hoping we might do the Oatmeal Stout as one. When I enquired abou thqt, I was told that we will not add to the line for a while, as we want to establish it, but that when we do, we might add a double oatmeal stout (Oh, boy! Music to my ears).

Be careful with that Andgator, everybody.
