Are you there other set times? Please let me know!
Isabella,
I am only on a set schedule to be at the diner on Sunday nights. I do stop in frequently everyday but never at any set time.

Just returned from a nice bite and a few beers at the City Diner. 'twas a pleasure meeting Camilla, Sean, and finally our Jason.
Will report tomorrow, but assured Jason that I'm looking forward to future visits.
Plus, he saved us the embarrassment of stopping in for a quick drink at the bar around the corner.... the Sanctuary. Lesbian joint. Said they wouldn't even let Dom in the door.....glad I asked him about the place. *grinning*

You could have just sent him to the strip club if he felt rejected.

Thought I'd give a quick post on our dinner last night.... we each had 3 domestic beers.
Dom had the big Country Breakfast:
2 eggs; 3 pancakes; bacon; sausage; ham; grits or hashbrowns; & an english muffin, toast, or a biscuit.
The plate of pancakes on the side was much larger than expected. The bacon out of this world.... thick cut and lean. Hashbrowns were nicely seasoned....garlic and onion, perhaps?
He brought half of his dinner home.
I had the Club Sandwich on White Toast. Plenty of meat. Very tasty. Was surprised that it wasn't a "triple decker", but it didn't matter- served with fries.... took half of my sandwich home.
Got outta there for 40 bucks..... $33+ change and a tip.
I assured Jason that I'd be returning. I think it'll be the perfect place to stop on the way home from Tulane, order a sandwich to go, and sip on a beer while I'm waiting.
Oh yeah..... within moments, Jason turned me into a "true believer" when it came to his deep fried burgers..... you could see the SPARKS in his eyes describing it! Very nice group of people. It was very pleasant. Thumbs UP.

Went first time for late lunch Sunday. Goldilocks had the Mushroom & Swiss Burger, I had Chicken Fried Steak plate, & split an order of Onion Rings. All A-1 (and biiiggg portions). Interesting, the side of green beans was grilled and, to my mind, the home run!
They were clearing out after a busy lunch crowd and we got to overhear the manager (Kenny) giving the wait staff (pretty young) pointers - talk to the customers, make sure everything is good, apologize and promptly correct any mistakes, be happy, explain the dishes ...... - what a concept! Staff coaching!
I'll be back - may take me a while to work through the whole menu.

IMO Kenny is an asset to the diner. Things go much smoother when he's working.

Props to Kenny as well. He's like the heartbeat of the place.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be starting deliveries next monday. We have had such a large request from the local community and businesses that we have decided to give it a shot.

What's your delivery area? Will you be delivering to Old Jefferson or Ochsner?
