I made it there last week. The gumbo was decent and the buffalo chicken sandwich, on Jalepeno Chedder, was really good. I'll get it again, although maybe grilled this time instead of fried.

I had a delightful lunch today, (I really miss my lunches on Monday and City Diner!!) with old friends and new.
The menu has expanded a bit, and there were some interesting choices. I would have loved to try the corn and crab bisque, which was the soup of the day. It was too hot of day though. LOL, I ended up getting this absolutely decadant bread bowl, which is buttered, seasoned and browned, filled with seafood, (crabmeat, shrimp and crawfish), cheeses and that wonderful cream dill sauce.
Yeah, didn't go light or anything in deference to the killer heat.
Good times.

Went Friday. Had the Thai Red Pepper Chicken sandwich on wheat. OMG it was fantastic. Also split order of perfectly done onion rings.

.... looking forward to meeting many of you.... this joint is right around the corner from the apartment.... thought it might be a fun meeting spot, but.............
Please tell me that they have a liquor license.... or at least beer/wine? *crossing my fingers*
(If they don't, I'll use them strictly for take-out)

Well, it is a diner, after all. Probably a bit too brightly-lit for serious alcohol consumption as well. But take heart, there are probably only a few dozen places that serve a lot more within 3 minutes in any direction.

Oh boy, Oh boy!!!!! Turn me onto some of your favorites!
Honestly, LNS.... have done nothing but "busy work" when heading over there... I'm SO looking forward to RELAXING.... even if for a day or two. You gotta remember that this broad has been in the middle of NOWHERE for 20 years... lucky to get to Metairie or Quarter 6 times per year....
