Man, I miss Maple Garden too. The best Chinese bbq pork in town. I have yet to find a sauce similar. And call me crazy (you wouldn't be the first!) but I miss Wise Cafeteria. I hated it as a youngster because we used to eat there several times a week. But now that I am a working Mom, I would love to have Wise back. Banana pudding, turkey and dressing, liver and onions, all fresh and good. I can still see those ladies talking to us and welcoming us as we went down the line. And Milton watching over everyone at the checkout, LOL.

Oh! I miss the Fat City Pho Tau Bay too!

Mama's Tasty Chicken (Louisiana & Carondelet)

Mike's Mid City (Canal off of Carrollton). I really miss the cozy neighborhood feel and the burgers.

Katie's in Mid City. I know its opening back up sometime in the future. I hope it's as good but its always hard to say after so much time and with new ownership.

Christians. Need I say more?

I never did make it to Sugar Magnolia...which I heard was really, really good. We did hit up Jackson Friday night and it was great. I just posted a review.

There was a place one block (NE) off of Esplanade, maybe on N. Galvez-?? It was mid to upper price range, faced the corner, parking lot was cater-corner with security. I think it started with a D but nothing on Admin's list rang a bell.
I can remember the bar and they layout of the dining room (and that they had Paradigm on the wine list) but that's all.
