Wow, you did that from memory? I guess you haven't hit the 5-0 yet, huh?

EC...LOVE your list...except for... Ya Ka Mein.

My husband and I were just discussing this last night. I can't figure out the great draw and love for this. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy some good Ya Ka Mein...BUT..it's just not something that I've ever chosen to fill my limited belly space with when I'm out at JazzFest.

My favorites are:

Raw oysters under the grandstand
Crawfish Enchiladas
Crawfish Sacks
Crawfish Streudel
Soft Shell Crab PoBoy
Crawfish Bread (sometimes...as this has been hit or miss over the years)
Mango Freeze
Strawberry Lemonade (with a little Sprite, mango freeze and vodka in it)

Ya Ka Mein is one of my favorites. I will have it at least once each weekend, if not each day. I see no reason to eat raw oysters or boiled crawfish at the Fest.

I am also a fan of the Dibbe (steak pita) from the international booths (I forget which one).

I have learned that Steel Pulse will not be at the fest. They can't get out of Britain. What a shame.

I was given bad info, which was corrected this am. Steel Pulse will in fact be there Friday. There was much rejoicing.
