Went to Lebanon Cafe for our 7th anniversary for lunch as we knew weather would just get worse before the real day tomorrow. I had the lamb with hummus and hubby had the shrimp kabobs. His was better than mine. Some of the lamb was a little tough.
For supper, I'm having spring rolls and squid salad I picked up from Whole Foods the other day. Not sure what hubby is eating.

Let him fend for himself on the anniversary eve, huh?

I'm going nuts cause I'm stuck in the house on a beautiful day, had to take my kid to the ER last night with a 105.5 fever so we're trying to let him get better. Tonight, I'm cooking a Thai Pork & Rice bowl for dinner, and hope to enjoy a few cocktails as I don't have to work tomorrow.

You must have had the lamb kabob. This is one of the few things I will not get at Lebanon. It is chewy. Laura, the Lamb Chops are very good and very tender. I also like the Lula Kabob.

We went to Sushi Bros tonight. The mgr really goofed tonight - was very rude to me. I'm never going back.

I did not view/post yesterday. I did however, cook a roast (beef). Seems like a few of us thought it was a good day for that.

I love rainy days for cooking!

Sunday, I started off with Beef Vegatable Soup using leftover stock from Boiled Brisket a`la Tujague's. Used boneless short ribs for the beef in the soup, which Rousse had on sale.

Wife made Shrimp and Corn Soup at request of daughter.

I did Barbeque Shrimp using Mr. B's recipe. Yum! Rousse had fresh, hot French Bread. Yum with the sauce!

At least productive day for indoor activity!

Any excuse to make homemade chili for my husband! The rain is one of them! I let him slave away in the kitchen, while I drank wine and read a book. What a relaxing Sunday!

I did the same--except hubby cooked a ham.

Much to my chagrin, though, when I finished my book & went to get #3 in the series, it seems that I goofed up & bought #4. Bummer. I'm reading The Outlander Series (by Diana Gabaldon)--it's totally awesome.

Whatcha reading? Anything good?

I just finished a good book...was completely enthralled with it and still can't get the whole thing off of my mind. It was a faith based book and has been on the bestseller's list for quite some time. When I went home a few weeks ago...I went to church with Mom and the minister was talking about the book..being the reader that I am...I had to check it out. It's worth checking out. The book is "The Shack" and it's by William P. Young. Like I said it is faith based..but it's not shoving religion down your throat. It's just a really good read.

YES! Lots! And I'm eating as fast as I can before the lights go out!

Will watch for short ribs at Rouse! This week, Lobster is on for $7.99/lb. Steamed free if you wish!

Hurricane party!
