I grew up in Kentucky. Our barbecue is vinegar and tomato based and not nearly as sweet as Kansas City. It's good..but, I still prefer Kansas City. One of the Kansas City favorites is Gates Barbecue..it's funny..everyone always bragged on how great it was..but, I was never really that impressed with it. Then I read the menu closer...Gates Barbecue started in Kentucky!
We haven't tried Hillbilly Barbecue..will have to do that very soon. Today..Doug is outside smoking ribs and will put some sausage on later. He just came in and said that Willie ( our dachshund) told him that he needs limes for gin and tonic.
I hate it when Willie does this. Grins.
