What a hoot. He can alienate the few people he allows to join his board. I'm sure any one with laura in their name will be banned out of paranoia.

I hate that we have to have so many different boards now. Too much dilution and not enough post. I visit three of them now and that is probably one too many.

Oh Lord, this should be entertaining. A man with no web skills or netiquette running a message board...

This project is doomed to failure for one simple reason: you cannot hear Tomato's mellifluous voice on a messageboard. You can't hear him hum and scat while waiting for your messages to appear. You won't be able to hear the whine in his voice when you post something negative about the Brennan restaurants, and you certainly can't hear him freshly quip 'ya call that livin'???' What a shame...

I love how he still uses the cheeseball salutation even when he is being completely unhelpful.

Anyway, I was looking forward to participating in some heavily moderated food discussion. I guess that won't be happening.

I am sure it really would not make for all that great of reading even if I could remember all of it. I had been drinking.
Tom just acted like a total possum anus when some guy called the show asking about what Tom likes to serve guest when he has them over to watch football. I am pretty sure the call was a prank, but Tom's dorky response just got under my skin. Then it got me thinking about how he ridicules old ladies when they call to give a bad restaurant report about a place he likes or when he constantly talks about Impastatos.

No big deal. I may have called him a few names and such in the post, which is probably why it was whacked.

Interesting that two of the major food media folks in this town, each have their own message board but that the majority of people who are willing to participate in such an endeavor are posting here on this board which is only slightly moderated by a non-foodie.

I very much would like to continue to bust Fitzmorris's chops over there. His posts already are starting to sound like a broken record. I'll be hanging out here for the foreseeable future.

I now find myself tracking New Orleans.com, NOLAforum, Mr. Lake's, Chowhound, eGullet, AND of course NOLA EATS - this is getting to be a full time job!

Not that I looking to add more, but are their still others you think are useful to keep an eye on?

Which one of his former subjects will be the one to start the "vodka that vapid spirit" or which is more important dome or commander's threads? I wonder if he now has one very big delete button or ten little delete buttons, one for each finger.
