I find Milano's pizza to be marginal to poor. Their "Mardi Gras" pizza, which is close to a shrimp remoulade pizza is different and OK, but in the pizza realm, you can do much better.

It's on Cleary between Vets and I-10.

I'd concur. And he's been that way for years!

Is Rocky's still around? I used to eat pies there at the location on Airline and Labarre in the strip mall with the Sav-A-Center(Rouse's now I guess), Starbucks, McAllister's Deli, etc. This was pre-K, and I thought Rocky's was pretty good, although I'll be the first to say I don't have much experience with "good" pizza. I thought they had a location Uptown on Magazine somewhere, but maybe that's gone too.
