The fact that this asshat gave Cafe Minh three stars already means he's of dubious credibility.

What's your point? That it deserves more stars or fewer? Personally, I like Cafe Minh quite a bit.

Cafe Minh is a four star restaurant. Or at least 3.5, do something to differentiate from the other casual places that he gives 3 stars to. It is as good a lunch place as there is in the city.

His ratings do appear to be on the conservative side. One thing that WWL has done is to add a restaurant review site, for restaurant-specific reviews by users like us as well as by their 'Unknown Food Critic'. I don't know if you can get to the site through their portal, but the direct link is restaurants.wwltv.com.

I think this is a nice complement to existing sites like this that also do compare & contrast as well as have space for discussion about other food items like recipes, cooking methods, etc.

It does seem like a randomly selected person could do the 'unknown food critic' as well as the actually selected person, though.

WWL's point in picking an Unknown Food Critic was selecting your average Joe, not having a professional. I haven't actually seen the show but I have checked out the site a bit.

just a quick squint of that site, and there are restaurants that have been closed that have recent ratings and comments.
Napoleon's last review posted was 8/19/09.
