LOL who remembers this badly misquoted statement by George Bush Sr.? "I hate broccoli, I'm the president of the United States and I don't have to eat it." lol.

I love most veggies, but I realized a few years ago that hey, I'm an ADULT. I can eat what I like! :toast:

Last night's dinner (I'm a batchelor this week):

Pot Stickers, frozen from Trader Joe's.

Stewed tomatoes, with 1 tsp cornstarch added to reduce wateryness.

Asparagus, about 1 lb, steamed 6 minutes, with butter, lime juice, paprika drizzle.

Delicious! :toast:

Oh yes it can.

I don't like asparagas, but I hate fresh much less than putrid, mushy, disgusting canned.

Adore broccoli, cauliflower, peas, raw spinach ONLY. Same with carrots. If you cook spinach and carrots they are ruined. Except for spinach/artichoke dip, of course. I love cabbage but don't like brussel's sprouts which taste like intense little cabbage bombs to me. Weird.
Now this is more like it.

How can you hate something like this:

Charlie Palmer Steak House, Grand Sierra Resort, Reno.

Called the FLAT IRON. Marinated Skirt Steak. Not sure what's underneath. Featured in a Reno dining magazine. I haven't been there (yet) to eat it.

Just ate a couple of renegades that fought their way through the weeds in my old asparagus garden. Raw. Delightful! :)

I normally don't like my food touching each other. *LOL* We were eating something the other night.... Dom put away the leftovers, and I was horrified.... there was goop on my protein, or something.... no leftovers for me. :)
