Gosh, I've had fun today. This snow was so unexpected and fun.
I couldn't decide what kind of soup to make so I made two different types.
I made a chicken soup with lots of rosemary and garlic, carrots and fresh spinach.
I also made a veal minestrone with lots of veggies.
I plan to eat BOTH! lol

I've baked cookies all day. So...I warmed up the roast with potatoes and carrots that we had on Sunday. But..my house smells wonderful...it's beginning to look a lot (ok, well, a little) like Christmas. Now, if I can just keep Doug out of the cookies long enough to get them packed up and mailed off to family and friends.
Now..I'm shopping online with a cup of coffee laced with kahlua and baileys at my side.

I made a pot of red beans. They were outstanding.
I like kids. They taste like chicken.

Congradulations on your "snow". You're below sea level, but you got your snow before us here at 5,300 feet. We're forecast for snow Sunday and Monday.

the champagne started at 10am, then on to roast chicken, roast lamb leg, wild rice w/golden raisins and walnuts, home made bread loaf, and stilton and branston pickle.
After Mon & Tues, even the calendar says W-T-F!

I made a pot of chilli, quite good
Re: What did you cook on this "Snow Day"?
I made chili as well. Discovered I was out of cumin so I used fresh cilantro and fresh lime juice along with the usual mix of spices. It turned out to be an improvement.
