Liuzza Creole Grape Tomatoes

Post by Isabella Maja »

I've heard these mentioned recently & the word is they are fantastic.

Where have you bought them or seen them?

Thanks!

I believe Mrs. Fury gets hers at Matherne's in Laplace. She waxes ecstatic over the things. Claims they're, "like crack!"

A friend sent me three cartons of Liuzza's from Berrytown in Hammond. Had them last night. They were very good. I could eat them like chips.

OK, Isa! We were at Matherne's Saturday morning, but no grape tomatoes! Near the end of our Saturday road trip (At http://picasaweb.google.com/P71CVPI/TangiRoadTrip02 and http://picasaweb.google.com/girlygirl29 ... Settlement , BTW) we passed through Ponchatoula and look what we found at Berry Town Produce just as gumbo lover did in Hammond:

That's precisely the carton and the price.

They no longer sell them at either of the two places I shop but I was happy as a little girl to find them at Berrytown. I'm going to get a handful now...
I like kids. They taste like chicken.

I love to eat them with nothing but a tiny pinch of pink Peruvian sea salt on each one. It's the best way!

That sounds great Jeeves.
