Late lunch on Sunday, need recs
I'm picking up a business associate from MSY at 12:45 on Sunday afternoon. I need to take her to lunch and am looking for ideas. I was thinking of staying out by the airport but have decided since she's spending her entire trip in Metairie I should bring her to the city for lunch.
I'm leaning towards Domenica. Parking is easy and I can get a reservation. But I'm open to suggestions. Someone else recommended Elizabeth's as well. What do you think?
She has told me she has no dietary issues, so don't hold back.

How about the Rib Room for the Champagne Brunch? They also have a PrixFixe 3 course brunch for $33/person that looks pretty good.

Don't know what time Brunch ends but you may be able to make it.

How about Martinique??? Sit in the courtyard with a nice bottle of white and that Crab Cobb Salad.... Not as "fancy" as Domenica, but a really good example of New Orleans life. Another idea would be Cafe Degas, a nice Sunday location for lunch.

Has anyone been to Flaming Torch lately? All these ideas are great, I can't decide!
My thought with Domenica was we could have lunch there. If she wanted we could cross Canal and walk a little in the quarter since she's never been here. Then take St Charles up to River Road before returning to Metairie. It seems like a good plan but there are so many great options.

I'll throw in 2 more suggestions that are a little off the beaten track.
1) Jackson on Magazine is open till 3 if you can make it.
2) Dante's Kitchen across the street from Brightsen's. Open till 2 at least.
Whatever you do, have fun.

I wouldn't go to the Audubon Golf Clubhouse. Just saying.

I second both Dante and Cafe Degas.
