RioMar Wednesday night

Post by nolagirl »

Had another fabulous meal at RioMar Wednesday night. DC and I split the ceviche tasting as an app, and then I had the INCREDIBLE hangar steak entree. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Just amazing. DC had the swordfish special which was good but was far overshadowed by the hangar steak. Split the tres leches cake for dessert - YUM. I had a glass of a waiter-recommended heavy white wine to go with both the ceviche and the steak, and I forgot to write the name down but it was excellent.

I so love all three restaurants in this group. I'm thinking of hitting Rio Mar before the game Monday, they are staying open all day and since I'll have a 9 year old with me, I'm avoiding the bar scene.
“I'm sure when Peyton Manning was growing up he always wanted to throw the TD pass that gave the Saints a Super Bowl win," Jorge Arangure wrote. "Now he has."

I have always liked Rio Mar a ton but I find myself enjoying all three restaurants in that group a lot more over the last six months. In fact, I have been enjoying every restaurant I eat at a lot more especially since May. I wonder why that is. My smoking hot date, perhaps?

IMHO, Rio Mar has the most interesting food in the city. JAG and I have been there once since the opening of A Mano. It was just as good as it always has been despite the defection of talent to A Mano. (Adolpho, Missy and Josh.) Regardless, Adolpho left the food at Rio Mar in the very capable hands of Myles Prescott.
