Thanks!

Not Mandeville, but Friends out on the deck was awesome for our family recently.

Vig Roux is so good! Very casual and not expensive. Poboys and plate lunches. Great shrimp creole.
I like kids. They taste like chicken.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. We crossed the lake on Sunday morning and had decided on Vig Roux, but found out last minute that they are closed on Sundays. So, we elected Rip's On The Lake instead. Some research had told us not too expect much other than a great view, which we got and then some.
Turned out the food was pretty good. We had a calamari appetizer and then catfish and oyster po boys. Everything was fresh and right out of the fryer and there was more than enough food. There were a few service slips, but our waiter corrected each one quickly. Overall it was a very nice lunch.
Next time we go on a Saturday and we'll try Vig Roux.
