Upcoming Festivals

Post by Oyster »

Since we have a split in taste between Shellfish and meat on the hoof, here are two upcoming festivals that should fill the bill for both.

New Orleans Seafood Festival - At Fulton Square, 9/25-9/27. Restaurants, Chef demo's, music, maybe some drinks.

Followed by:

BBQ & Blues Festival - At Lafayette Square, 10/17 & 10/18. BBQ and Blues. Goes freat with a beer!

Also, may as well add Gretna Fest in October too!!!

Tis the Season! Pass the word.

I'd like to add a shout out for the French Food Festival on Oct. 23, 24, 25. It is in Larose and has pork, shrimp, seafood gumbo, and several other things. Maybe Hungry One will chime in too since I'm sure she will be there..

I love the BBQ and Blues fest at Lafayette! I wonder if I can drag Bam outside during football season..nah, that's a battle I'll chose not to pick.

Are you talking about the custard pie Tartes a la Bouille, or just the custard by itself which is just bouille (boo-yeeee)?

Me and the wife will be there... probably on the Saturday if you're interested in going. Of course since my wife is from Cutoff/Larose she knows just about everyone down there.....so I'm always looking for people to hang out with while she gets her vay yay on....
