This has become one of my favorite places to eat on the Northshore. The food is consistently very good, and the folks who work there are super friendly. I normally eat there for dinner, and it's usually fairly empty. When I ask the owner, he says they do most of their business for lunch. I'm glad, because I'd hate to see them close.
Dinner tonight was edamame and dumplings for apps. Both good. I had Tom Yum Soup, which is my favorite.
Wife had Thai Basil with beef, I had Paradise Shrimp. Both were excellent. I'm trying to make my way through all of the Chef's Specials on the menu, most of which are seafood.

Re: Thai Spice
Since Ricky moved, I now go to Thai Thai.
Re: Thai Spice
Always wanted to try Thai Spice when I pick up my daughter on the Northshore, but she's usually set on sushi which means Little Tokyo over there, so I don't complain.
I will pass along a tip on the Thai place next door to Cooter Brown's though. Give it a try if your ever in the neighborhood, it is outstanding -- the best Thai I ever had in New Orleans. Pricey, but worth every penny.
