August vs Delmonico

I'm in disbelief that my sister has even chosen either of these restaurants for Mother's Day. (her choices used to be . . . ah, never mind, let's just say this is a huge miracle)

It's been a while since I've been to Delmonico & I've heard mixed reviews lately regarding service at August.

If y'all would chip in with the latest word, I'd be most appreciative.

I'd choose Delmonico. They're both very good, but I like Delmonico better. I find them more consistent, and the service much better and more personal.

I don't think you can can go wrong with either, though.

I love both restaurants but Delmonico has been working extra hard to make people happy. I will always go to August but I know one of Emeril's long time managers will be at Delmonico making sure everyone is taken care of, thats a good comfort level to have on any day.

What are some of the things you like at Delmonico?
Also 2 in the party are vegetarians, who occasionally lapse for seafood.
