Damn Oyster, that was harsh. I'm not in the food service business other than I love to eat and meet people. To be fair, Anthony did say it was a bitch, but that wasn't his main reason. He also said that last year he had lots of leftover meat that he didn't sell. Either way, I like his sandwich and was disappointed that it wasn't at the Fest.Oyster wrote:That doesn't wash.

F' em! Just go to the Tujague's stand right inside the main gate at Jackson Sq. You can get the greatest Brisket for only $4. I really enjoy it much more than the Rib Room's fare. Plus, you can give the extra buck you save as a tip to help the musicians.
Re: The $19 sandwich - He sells it in the dining room, on China, in an excellent setting, with full wait service, served with homemade potato chips. Who am I to call him a liar when he tells me this to my face. Personally, I wouldn't pay $19 anywhere for a sandwich. But I'm sure there are those who do.
And you really dissed me when you didn't comment on the oyster part of my post dude....

Looking forward to his NOWFE dinner.
I did drop your name when speaking with Anthony. You are lucky to have him help you. And come to find out he's friends with a couple of old chef buddies from of mine from high school who have since left the city.
