Why? If I may ask?

Where is it, what is it and what's up with the "throwing of the gauntlet"?

Doesn't sound so much like gauntlet throwing as it does a double dog dare.

here's what I posted about a week ago asking if anyone had been?

"The Suavé Latino Bar & Grill will open Dec. 5 on the first floor of the Pelham Hotel at 200 Magazine St.
The eatery will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.
According to a news release, the restaurant will offer affordable prices. the menu is a blend of Mexican, Caribbean, Central and South American dishes, mostly served as tapas and bocaditos, with seafood and breakfast egg dishes."

Apparently this is part of a larger group of restaurants.

"Mencia's partners in Suave are three people from Austin, Texas: Adam Gonzales, corporate chef of Cafe
Serranos and Mama Ninfa's restaurants; David Quintanilla; CEO of Cafe Serranos and Mama Ninfa's; and Santiago Moreno, chief operations officer."
After Mon & Tues, even the calendar says W-T-F!

I, for one, vouchsafe that sentiment.
