NoName Candy (crushed Oreo's & cream cheese)

Post by JudiB »

I'm sure this wonderful treat has a name, I just don't know what it is... I tasted this at a gathering and was never able to talk to the person who brought them directly.

Via third party I was told:

One package Oreos
One 8 oz block of cream cheese, softened
White chocolate for melting

Throw the oreos and cream cheese in the food processor and blend until smooth. Chill for a while until it regains the stiffness.

Melt white chocolate. I used a melon-baller and dipped the cookie mixture in the chocolate and put them on wax paper.

These are soooooo good and soooo easy.

I did a take off with white cookies, Polaner's seedless raspberry jelly and dipped it in dark chocolate... and that was CRACK!

Too bad I discovered this during Lent. :( I've given lots away at work.

From what I have read, those-- and variations thereof-- are called Oreo Truffles, Oreo Balls, or Oreo Truffle Balls. Sounds like eating just one is not an option...

lol well I thought I'd be able to pig out on them... but they are way too rich to eat many. Unfortunately.

Thanks low-n-slow for the name. Truffle is appropriate. yuuuuummmm....
